BEST DRESSED: Olivia Palermo

Some women are born with it. While most actresses only clean up and dress up for red carpets events, some rarities do breathe fashion and... Style.

In my books, the innate stylish celebrity is so rare that, despite the absence of recorded talent to actually propulse her to the rank of celebrity, I believe Olivia Palermo deserves a post.

Actually, there are blogs dedicated to her style and, going through the pictures there were hardly any that I would discard as, even at her most casual, she stands as an example in sloppy days´s looks... 

Of course, she´s coming from a wealthy family but some people have money and no taste.

Anyway, please enjoy the few pictures of candids, to show how stylish she is even walking her dog!

It´s a wrap for Victoria Beckham

Although not really a trend setter - her collection usually are highly inspired by the big names of the industry-, Mrs Beckham nevertheless has been anticipating next winter major (no pun intended) fashion must-have: The oversize coat. She´s featured here wearing a wool blanket coat. 

It is official people, next season will leave room - literally - to cosying up in ample coats.eline had initiated it and this season, it seems that Stella McCartney is pushing the trend forward. The overdimensioned jackets and coats, yet unlike the 80s hardly padded which makes the look softer is not without reminding the architectural designs from Japanese Yohji Yamamoto and Rei Kawabuko in the 80s.

The secrets to good coats though, seem to belying on  large lapels and strict - even straight lines. The material shall look soft and sturdy at the same time to give structure, probably gabardine and heavy wool will be the material of choice.

Length however is not for every one, probably it is why the ex Spice girl leaves it open to give more amplor to the silhouette. 

Also, I believe it is better to de-dramatise the size by wearing it with casually to look effortless.

While not everyone can afford Stella McCartney or Mrs Beckham´s designs, more affordable items such as military coats - which were almost the big trend last winter- can be found in Asos and the likes.

Stop under the name of Love ... for Fashion

It is fashion weeks folks! And New York, London, Paris and Milan can witness crowds of fashionistas who can be noticed with demure and/or  incredibly remarkable looks, some of them difficult to even be qualified.
In my books, akward is not necessarily bad, however, when it is different without a sense of aesthetics, it is just falling into the "weird" category.

This season, one of the awards would go with Michelle Elie. This woman - probably unknown to most of us -  has done eveything in fashion, from Model to stylist. Her profession of late is Jewellery designer and, in the weirdness, she doesn´t disappoint.
In terms of PR, this could be a strategy that works well and it turns out that she even got me to write about her... However,

Is it strange that, just as her outfit, I don´t really get her designs? But maybe it is just me...

A Victoría´s well kept secret: Candice Swanepoel´s bikini

Candice Swanepoel is a busy girl. She´s been attending almost every red carpet event she´s been invited to, although we are more used to see her with very little frocks.
The South African model is pictured here working in St Barth on a photoshoot.
I often find the Victoria´s secrets too thin - Alessandra Ambrosio scares the hell out of me with her eyebrows larger than her hips - but Candice has a body to die for yet, looking healthy. She probably is not this thin by eating junk food but if one looks closely, one will notice actual body fat ( although, just enough to survive a normal life) which suggests she doesn´t starve herself to the extreme.

Maybe this marks the end of an era. I remember those times - the pre-Kate Moss era - when Cindy Crawford, thin but not scarily so - was the role model for body shape... I hope that this trend is going to keep up.

Anyway, this is a beautiful body and this is a very good picture for househole commercial: she looks happy! So unusual in fashion...
